Job Description:  Director of Colleges at College Outreach 

Brief Description: Director of Colleges for educational non-profit dedicated to creating college awareness and connecting rural students with college.  This position with College Outreach coordinates well with the Post Secondary Advisor at Aspen High School.

Location:  Aspen, Colorado/Remote possible

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and build collaborative relationships with colleges and universities and others in the higher education community. 
• Educate colleges on the unique lifestyle, including challenges for rural students living in the Western Slope of Colorado. 
• Invite colleges to events hosted by College Outreach, including the Colorado Western Slope College Fair.
• Coordinate with college panelists at seminars and workshops hosted by College Outreach. 
• Collaborate with other Western Slope high school counselors in communication with colleges and universities.  
• Write coherent, organized, and compelling communications.
• Advocate for and support the mission and objectives of College Outreach.

Qualifications:

• Minimum three years’ experience as a college or university admissions officer, including recruitment and application review.
• Bachelor’s degree. 
• A passionate person with a love for education.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with all stakeholders.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage resources across multiple projects.
• Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
• Comfortable working with a team, as well as independently.

• Forward thinker who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions. 

Location - Aspen, Colorado or Remote - Some travel to college campuses required. 

Job Type: Part-time, two-month contract. 

Pay: $20,000 supplemental compensation offered by College Outreach.
